St. Anne's Reel

  • This tune has French Canadian origins. According to the Traditional Tune Archive, St. Anne's Reel likely originated from Quebec and was first recorded in Montreal by Willie Ringuette. For the life of me I can't find an online recording of Willie's playing, but I was able to locate a recording from French Canadian fiddler Isidore Soucy. I feel like this is a cool way to hear this tune in its French Canadian stylings. Isidore Soucy Recording
